Crosse Keys Spoons. Hazy amber beer. Residual white head. Light dry palate. Low carbonation. Trace of sulphur in the dry and slightly creamy malt. Mild citrus hop, fairly well balanced. Dry finish. mild bitter linger. Ok apart from the rotten eggs!

Cask at the Greyhound (JDW), Maidenhead. Amber with a thin white head; simple malty aroma; smooth and malty with well balanced hops giving a dry fruity finish. Very drinkable but very unexciting.

Cask @ Sir John Moore, JDW. Spoons Real Ale Festival autumn 2011. Golden colour, white head. Nose is vegetables, slight malty. Flavour is light malty, vegetables, bit of lemonade. Slightly bitter finish.

Bottle 500ml. [ Vintage BBF 0905 ]. Clear medium amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, oxidide, honey, light nutty. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110615]

Bottled. Goldeny ambery colour, small foamy head. Aroma is honey, sweet malts, some fruity notes. Flavour is raisins, honey, sweet malts, some mild dryish wooden notes as well. Semidry palate.

500ml bottle from Booths. Copper colour with thin off white head. Some hop, but more mineral really. Some caramel malt, bit of candy sugar. Over carbonated in mouth. Some hop on end.

Bottle: tan colour with a lively white head; smells of malt and tastes of malt, sweet and thin, with a slight roasted note, little follow through - not very exciting.
