Bottle at the mopndiale 2014. Very dark copper pour, with a small tan head. Aroma of super sticky, sweet malts. Light roasted nuts, and some almond liquor. The mouth feel is very full bodied, and the carb is quite low. The finish is cloyingly sweet, with more sweet almond flavors, with some harsh booze. Whoa, this was rough.

Brown with a lasting off-white head. Complex aroma, fruity, vineous, cherry, wood caramel and spice. Sweet chocolate and fruit flavour with yeast and a little tartness. The beer has potential, but should have been less sweet to suit my taste.

Bottle 75 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a cloudy and somewhat muddy brown with a tall, dense and stable off-white head leaving laces. Lightly tart aroma, a little wood also. Quite full-bodied, roasted malt, nuts and dried fruit. Rather alcoholic finish. 040610

Bottled. An unclear red beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, fruit leaning on being over ripe, and stables. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of malt, caramel, and brettanomyces, as well as lighter notes of stables, leading to a tart brett’y finish. The alcohol burns lightly on the tongue.

4th June 2010. Bottle. Unusual colour - dark orange but with a purplish tone! Good off white head. Very light frothy palate. Sourish fruity malt, creamy as well. Some pepper and alcoholic heat in the finish. A little dry.
