Cask at the Jolly Anglers, Reading. Pitch black in colour with a dense beige head; an amazingly complex aroma, with tar, treacle, coffee and dark chocolate to the fore; full of chewy malts in the mouth, with sweet purple fruit, chocoalte and coffee flavours; and a dry finish with hints of coffee grounds. An excellent stout.
