Bottle 75 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours black with a vague orange hue and a creamy beige head leaving laces. Lots of licorice and sweet roasted malt in the nose. Medium body, hard roasted malt - but never burned and ashy - again licorice and a whiff of tar. Rather subdued bitterness. Pleasant and easily drinkable. 040610

Bottled. A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malt, rye, and oatmeal. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as notes of rye, sweet malt, and chocolate, as well as a light acidity from the roasted malt, leading to a dry, bitter, and roasted finish.

4th June 2010. Bottle - courtesy of the Bir & Fud beershop. Very dark brown beer, no real head. Light fresh palate. Fresh minerally porter, lightly toasted malt. Some subtle fruit and a little mild coffee. Subtle lactose sweetness. Decent.
