Belgian-Style Ale Brewed with Spices, Wheat and Oats
Orchard White is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned Belgian-style witbier. This hazy, straw yellow beer is spiced with coriander, citrus peel and lavender added to the boil and whirlpool. A spicy, fruity yeast strain is used to add complexity, and rolled oats are added for a silky texture.
Admin Note: This is retired and has moved over the Bruery Terreux line starting in 2015.

(From notes) Bottled, sample @ The Bruery (end of 2009). Not quite Belgian style witbier (lavender), but nice and refreshing, with a herbal finish.

Pours a very pale yellow with a huge, thick white head. Lots of carbonation present at first. Aroma of spice. Some sour citrus flavor, along with a strange spice bite (wife said it reminded her of apple). The coriander? Lavendar? It’s an interesting beer either way.

750 ml bottle into tulip. Pours hazy golden amber color with a huge 3 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lacing cap. Not much lacing is left on the glass. Aromas of pepper, wheat, clove, oregano, basil, and a bit of oats; with some lemon zest as well. Very unique aromas for a wit, very nice stuff. Taste of lemon, spice, clove, pepper, wheat, herbs, and a bit of oat. A small bit of a tart tang in the back, with a ton of spices that linger for a decent amount of time. Fairly dry finish aside from the lingering spices and citrus notes. High carbonation with a light-medium body. The feel is fairly prickly, but is also very drinkable despite the high carbonation. No alcohol in the taste or finish noticed. Overall, just an outstanding Wit, this is definitely the best one I have had.

750 mL bottle. Pours a dark straw with a large, frothy, white head. The aroma is orange peels, floral hops, grain and cereals, caraway, and cloves. The flavor is sweet, in a fruit and citrus way, with a subtle bitter finish. The palate is light to medium, powdery, light carbonation, and a long, but mild finish. Overall, more complex than your average witbier, but well coordinated and pleasant to drink.

Draft. Hazy light orange-yellow. Lots of herbal nuances, but still remains clear and palatable. Creamy, mellow, medium bodied. Not so authentic, but still nice. Lavender really starts to stand out. Vanilla herbal finish. A spice bomb meets a Cream Ale. Quality, but odd.

Pale yellow coloured body with a white head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of coriander seed, lemons, wheat, yeast and a touch of light sweetness. Medium-bodied; Very mild wheat and yeast flavour complicates with some light spices and showing a touch of sweetness at the end. Aftertaste is also really mild - not much going on, except for some wheat and yeast. Overall, a good wit, definitely on the milder side of things, but showing good flavours throughout. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased at Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 15-June-2010 sampled at home in Washington on 25-November-2010.
