Tap. Pours clear chestnut, medium beige head, great lacing. Aroma is quite nutty, rye bread, more nuts, hint of smoke. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter. Medium body.

On tap at the brewery.
Sample glass.
The appearance was a dark brown color. Bar pour’s kind of slim white head quickly dissipated. No lacing.
The smell started off with some sweet chocolate malt, then some light coffee, and then some light toffee.
The taste was mainly the same, sweet with a touch of mild sliding malts. Smooth malt sweetness in the aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionable feel about it. Carbonation rides fairly low. Definitely mild all around.
Overall, well Goodwater takes a style most Americans don’t care about and adds their take on it, enlivening with coffee and cocoa and it comes out absolutely well done. I’d love to have this again.
