16oz (thx, Maxime C.!) at Andrey's. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: lots of coffee and roasted malts, some chocolate and smokiness. Taste: pretty nice, quite roasty, lots of coffee, some fruity notes. Overall: quite good.

Can that pours an almost black with hardly any highlights. The head is nice and big, frothy, bubbly, somewhat creamy with good retention. Aromas show a little more chocolate, cacao, with the freshly grinded coffee. Flavours a showing a little less sweetness and more of the roasted malts, mild coffee. Some dark fruits and hints of wood do come out in the nose eventually, even liquorice. Smooth mouthfeel and just enough bite (hop bitterness), alcohol in the finish to help not drag. A good Imperial Stout with a touch of coffee.
