Limited Release for Twin Sails 9th Anniversary.
Despite its name, this brew doesn’t feature a single banana, magic comes from our use of Bonanza yeast, which imparts subtle fruity esters and a gentle, creating a flavour reminiscent of a ripe, caramelized banana without the fruit itself. Use of cocoa husks and nibs gives a deep rich chocolate pallet, while roasted malts add depth and a hint of coffee.

Brown colour, so a bit light for the style. Not much head. Thin, weak...like watery, low bitterness, slight banana. But this is really...I mean just a couple of years ago their anniversaries were must-drink events. Now they barely had one and they released this, one of their worst ever beers. Oh, and Twin Sail's? Not even spellchecking their label. Get that shit outta here.

355 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tannish head. Aromas of cola, banana peal and roasted malts. Flavors of bitter almost vegetal banana leaf, powdery chocolate and toasted malts. Initial yuck reaction followed by light banana and creamy chocolate.

355mL can, pours a muddy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma smells like banana cola – like the second runnings of the shitty imperial banana stout from last year, but without the barrel. Flavour is very light, with plenty of cola and unpleasant banana puree. Totally lifeless body, with a very unpleasant banana character. Embarrassing product.

355mL can. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Marshmallow banana, chocolate, and a weird malt character on the nose. Flavour is thin, fake marshmallow bananas, rice paper malts. Mouthfeel is thin and oily. This is sad, I don't understand why the brewery would release this.

Poured from 355mL can. Very dark brown with small beige head. Weird thin banana and roast. Flavours are in conflict, the demise of Twin Sails?
