A classic English Summer Ale, a style rather rarely encountered these days (much like the English summer). It is above all a beer to be drunk, with soft notes of pear and the unmistakable aroma of a dewy, overgrown meadow on an early summer morning.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 16th October 2025. Golden amber with shallow foam and lacing bands. Sweet fruity aroma. Spiced fruitiness in-mouth akin to a Belgian blonde. Spiced maltiness and orchard fruits dominate the finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a medium body. Interesting.

Cask @ The Pub (formerly Calans), Hebden Bridge. Slightly hazy golden with a head. Its strength gives it some depth and has a slightly sugary nose. Its fruitiness is a little stewed.
