Town Crier is a full-flavoured golden ale with a big voice. The elegant straw coloured bitter has a hint of sweetness which is complemented by subtle hop flavours leading to a dry finish. The nose of crisp fruit is apparent with a refreshing balance of taste, a bitter which is supremely consistent and full of flavour.

Brewed using locally sourced Maris Otter malting barley and Worcestershire Goldings and Progress hops.

Bottle Notes - Town Crier is a bottle conditioned beer which contains sediment, pour carefully and best stored upright at cellar temperature 10 - 12 degrees.

Bottle at and thanks to Michael, local Co-Op pick up, 17/04/22. Very lightly hazed golden with a good sized white cap. Nose is grassy, stewed fruits, herb, grains, biscuit. Taste comprises toasted grains, lemon rind, dusty straw, hedgerow. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. On the twiggy side ... not one to revisit for me.

Bottle online from Hobsons Brewery. Pours an almost clear light golden/straw colour with a medium sized fluffy foamy white head. Aromas of light citrus and floral with a herbal note and peppery spice. Taste has more upfront notes of citrus, floral and peppery spice, a touch more herbal and a little toffee. Nice lingering grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Medium body and smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice lacing down the glass. Good beer.

Cask at The Red Lion, Pembridge, Herefordshire. Pours clear straw colour with a slim white head. Aroma: pale malts, light citrus, caramel hints. Taste: light sweet & light to moderate bitter, semi dry, light honey, light caramel, a little floral. Certainly drinkable if not blowing me away.

Clear gold with a creamy white head and a light malt aroma with a hint of citrus fruit. There’s a nice, if a little harsh, bitterness on top of a light biscuit malt backbone and a smooth mouthfeel

Gravicask, shared with Finn at the 24th Carmarthen Beer Festival. Bubbles on the surface of bright golden body. Dotted spots on glass. Grassy hops on the nose, hints of citrus. Moderate taste of oily hops and bread. Bittersweet endnotes. Okay bitter version. (04.10.2018).

Fra gravicask på The 24th Carmarthon Beer Festival. Delt med Rune. Gylden. Så vidt litt skum. Lett smørmaltaroma. Smaken som aromaen. Litt frukt underveis. Tørr avslutning.
