(Bottle) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby, almost black. Creamy beige head. Malty nose with dark bread, liquorice, herbs, flowers and chocolate. Malty, roasty taste with notes of chocolate, liquorice, dark bread, herbs, flowers, citrus and a warming, sweetish finish with a mild herbal bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Interesting. Strong, herbal and roasty. Still in good balance. Very nice.

From tap at Borefts ’15. Aroma of dark malt, prunes, red fruity notes, liquorice, roasty notes, fruity hops. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium to full. Rather sweet and sticky, but I love how the bittering hops balance things out. Rich beer.

Tap at Borefts 2015: Very black coloured brew with an mildly sweet bitter taste, hints of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and mint.

Bottle. Chestnut color, creamy head. aroma: sweet with spicy herbs, caramel, a little citrus, bready. Taste: sweet, spicy herbs, a little burnt, caramel, a little bread, winey, bitter, interesting but strange.

100ml shared with Ryan. Appearance: dark clean mahogany with a beige head. Aroma: dark fruits, brown sugars, patoka. Taste: same, sweet, but bitter at the same time. Overall: harsh, not good.

Poured from the tap. Clear dark brown with small beige head. Mild roast, light fruitiness. A little bit thin.
