Bottle. A- Wort, licorice, oak. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Vegemite, burnt toast, raisins, anise, oak, bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter herbal finish. O- I love bottles were I can't read a lick of the language on it. Makes me contemplate a bit more. I would call this more traditional ale / catch all than Imperial Stout. I almost get an absinthe flavor from this. Lots of herbal anise flavor. Yarrow can be deadly I hear, perhaps this is going to take me out or at least put me out for the fleeting hours of 2020! Unique but not a huge fan. I should've saved and shared this one.

500ml bottle, many thanks to djoeye for the share. Durable fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass.A ruby tint to a black body. Inviting smell of roasted dark malts, scent of chocolate and bread. Malt-forward taste profile, well balanced with chocolate, dark bread together with herbal hops. Lingering warming ending, not overly sweet. Full bodied, enjoying sipper. (Yuletide session, PivotekaH7, Tromsø 26.12.2020).
