Old rating rerated 18.02.2019, 0,5l bottle (batch #439, best before 21.07.2011) shared @ BBGTC tasting:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, sweet orange, minerals, yeast, spices, soap, grass, dark malts, bark, citrus peel, paper, hay. Taste is slightly sweet spiced, sweet orange, spices, dark malts, grass, hay, yeast, soap, licorice, bark, soil. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Kind of weird, but still kind of nice also...

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a sly dark brown color with a thin finger-ed white to off white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Lacing clung decently around the glass.
The smell started off with a huge coca cola flavor rounding over some nice light spices of ginger, all spice, and coriander. Orange peel seems to be the bitter part to balance nicely.
The taste was mainly sweet through the previously mentioned flavors and taking the spices to be the balance all about. Orange peel is still there, but becomes slightly sticky sweet in the aftertaste and moves slyly and sweet over the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body as there wants to be a nice sessionability about it, however, I find myself sipping this one. Carbonation runs super smooth and has a sticky coca cola feel over my tongue.
Overall, as a Belgian Strong Dark ale it works for the most part. I’m just starting to understand that Nogne will almost always have that \"coca cola\"-ness to their beers. Is their water or yeast or both? I don’t know, but I’d probably still have again.

Bottle 1 pint 9 oz. Color is deep brown very thin head in a tulip. Aroma is thick Munich malts, orange peel, and wheat.
The flavor is herbal and fruity with large amounts of toffee and earthy malts. The flavor is sweet and sugary with the spice and herbal helping mildly with the balance. But still very sweet overall but the alcohol is covered nicely, so it does have some drinkable aspects.
