Barrel aged raspberry sour ale. A combination of Oregon grown and local berries, handpicked by longtime friend Doug McMinn, bound together in perfect harmony. The palette opens big and bright, full of sweet raspberry, oaky vanilla, funky wild yeast and a refreshing snap of acidity.

An extravagant thanks goes out to MrChopin for this special brew! Had the pleasure of sampling this at the 7/9/2009 Pittsburgh RB tasting extravaganza (PGHRBEXT) at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse. It will be a long time, if ever I see a spread of bottles like I did there. I am not good enough for the beers that were that we served! For example, how about this beer: BF frambozen! From a liter bottle. Farmy tart lambic aroma. Has mostly a brown color with some red or pink mixed in. Has some scum on top. Quite sour initially. Has a hint of bitterness in there. Tingling sensations on the tongue! Some odd precipitants inside my glass. Quite interesting and entertaining brew. Fun experienced. I expected to taste more berry flavors in here. Funky wool blanket impressions continue. Finish is mild bitterness hanging around for a while but this was an overall great taste.

Sampled from a corked and caged 750ml bottle at the DC Local gathering thanks to ygtbsm94. Pours a hazy, translucent ruby red with a thin, ringing white head and very tight bubbles. Nice aroma, sour fruits, slightly sweaty, yeasty, some brett. Flavor is a bit watery, sweet, honey, raspberry, with a sour lactic thing going on. Buttery on the palate. Starts out great but doesn’t deliver on what the eyes and nose promise.

sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a hazy red-orange color with lots of floaters and a small white head. The aroma was tart, vinegary and lightly fruity but overall dominated by the vinegar. The flavor was dry, tart and sour with moderate vague fruits. The finish was long, dry, tart and vinegary. Ok.

One of the awesomely cool hookups from kramer @ BCTC’09. Reddish murky color. Aroma is acetic, very stingy berry, sweet and stingy tartness. Flavor is a nice berry flavor with sour tinges. Very easy to drink to boot.

750ml bottle courtesy of ygtbsm94. Murky red color. Raspberry aroma with a touch of wheat. Smooth mix between Lambic and US Raspberry Wheat. Some Bretty sourness for sure, but still very drinkable and refreshing. Quite excellent.

@dmacs UFC100 Gathering courtesy of egajdzis-750ml bottle–pours a pink ring for a head and orange/red color. Aroma is tart/sour fruit, medium malt, vinegar. Taste is very tart/sour fruit, medium malt, vinegar, earthy/towards metallic hops.

Bottle. Pours a murky pinkish orange with a bit of head and aromas that are decidedly tart and have a bit of raspberry. Flavor is a very sour yet full mix of raspberry, lemon and funk. Unlike other raspberry \"lambics\" I’ve had, this comes across as full and very robust.
Second bottle (after 7 months aging). Seems a little less pink in appearance, lively carbonation, no head. Aromas of similar to before, maybe a little less fruity and a little more tart. Flavor seems to have lost a little complexity... not bad, but more of a punishing sour with much less fruit presence and a little bit of an almost metallic edge to the aftertaste. Sad to say that I liked this much better when it was young.
