Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of both sweet and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol that tickles the tongue, and roasted malt, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Bottle #2283. 750 ml bottle provided by heemer77 for the 10/18 tasting. Pour is deep brown black, smallish tan head that falls fast. Aroma roasty maltiness with some pine hoppiness. Taste starts nice with the roastiness, but turns really sharp and metallic - overload of pineiness and sharp alcohol. Not terribly pleasant burning aftertaste. As it hit room temp, it got better quite a bit better.
