Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks 18.08.10 Pours copper in colour with a few ruby glints showing, good clarity, small residude of what was an off- white head. Good solid malty flavour, rippling but steady bitterness, burnt toffee and fruits also. Very tasty beer, toffee and malt on nose. I really enjoyed this and will actively seek out Dawkins again. Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 2/08/10. Copper coloured with a decent white head. Malty aroma of red fruits, oranges and caramel with a touch of floral hop. Malty flavour with a touch of sweetness, before some slightly spicy hop character and long, bitter finish. Good - the Dawkins team have got off to a very sound start.
