Polycask at Merton Summer Beer Festival, 17-07-10 Pours dark gold verging towards orange, it sort of hits that midddle ground between that warm gold and the radioactive look that the Cheddar Valley cider that is always bright orange. Soft stewed apples on the nose, with also some sharp and crisp apple skin aroma. Tangy and tart in the mouth, a real citrus appley feel to this, refreshing, some late appley sweetness taking the edge of things but there is a nice gradual dryness throughout. Very nice. Polypin at the Orchard, Bristol 07/05/09. Golden with no head. Tart apple aroma and flavour, with a hint of ammonia, the barnyard and distant farts. Ok.
