Bottle. Pours hazy dark red leaning to magenta, small pinkish head with decent lacing. Aroma is loads of barnyards strewn with tart cherries. Flavor is light plus tart, medium funk, nice fruit notes. Medium body.

37,5cl bottle (bottled 17/05/18, BBF: 26/10/38, 7,1%) from Rob the Gourmets’ Market in Brussels, my #5500. F: no real. C: dark deep red, hazy, opaque. A: a lot of cherries, very fruity, 3F funky, woody, brett, red sour berries, bit vinous, gooseberries. T: a lot of sour cherries, red sour berries, woody, funky, brett, bit puckering, nice honey touch, cherries skins, bit soft lemon, almost no carbonation, this is very nice, fully enjoyed.

Bottle thanks to Kanne. Pours hazy red, almost still, no head. Notes of vibrant cherry juice, pits, almondy, lightly 3F funky but pretty straight up, a little sulphuric on the nose in the beginning but quickly settles for a nice, balanced kriek. Excited to see how this will develop.

Bottled 17/05/18. Big pop, quite high carbonation. Deep red colour, oaky smell with lots of cherry. Taste is sour but also very rich on the cherries. Dry, some funk and a good bit of oak. Christmas cherries, tiniest traces of cinnamon. Not much honey.

375mL bottle, pour a deep dark purple with a rapidly dissipating pink head. Nose is full of that signature 3F barnyard funk upfront, with huge amounts of succulent cherries. Flavour is wonderfully rich, with intense cherries, barnyard funk, and fermented out funk. I don't really detect how the honey has changed this -- it tastes like the usual Oude Kriek, with the beautiful cherries and signature funk, that we all know and love, which is fine with me. Lovely stuff.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle, Blend #58, Season 17/18. Aroma is cherry forward with lots of tannins and a light cinnamon note. Light oak and faint lemon. Moderate, earthy, herbal phenolic notes. Pours a deep, dark red with a medium sized, thick, pink head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers in clumps for a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor has a medium light acidity with a balanced sweetness. Lots of cherry notes with light oak and faint lemon. Cherry pie and light cinnamon notes from the cherries. Light herbal, earthy funk that is lighter than in the aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice kriek and one that I think will age well. The honey is not really noticeable, but the kriek itself is excellent. Light tartness with balanced sweetness and a ton of cherry notes. The earthy, barnyard notes are hanging around in the background but with age might end up center-stage.
