Draught@Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is floral, some toasted, mild ashy and some liquorice tones. Flavour is roasted malts, some toasted and nutty tones with some floral and wooden elements. In a way quite basic, but then again, you don't need much more all the time, if it's wellbrewed.

Can from Deconinck. Hazy black, stable, foamy, beige head. Aroma of cigarette tobacco, toast, mocha, dried fig, solidified chocolate sauce, prune, walnut. Taste has sweet fig, raisin & plum overwhelmed by a malty wave of dark chocolate, fudge & bitter toast, a bit nutty & umami even. Earthy hoppy finish, ashy-toasty in a sense, dried fruit and coffee roast lingering. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very satisfying.

I think they may have been misinformed, wombatologically speaking. Can. Black with a dense tan head that fades to a fat coat. 3+ Bready and spicy aroma with chocolate, licorice and brooding roast. Silky texture. Rather more assertive roasted flavours with moderate sweetness, mocha and firm bitterness. Citrusy hops jar a bit - bb 2/24 suggests they might fade a little and I might like it even more next winter. Good stuff.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and grass. Pours pitch black color with thick soapy light brown head, nice lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light sweet but rich roasted malt, follows by coffee, bitter chocolate, wood and dark fruit with earthy note, mouthfeel is smooth and dry, while finish is average bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Hell of a porter...

Was für eine lausige Präsentation hier für ein wundervolles Bier. Schön röstig, bitter, derb, so mag ich meine Porter. Ausgezeichnet.

Short-lived, dark cream head over virtually black beer. End of bottle scary UFO's. Spicy, greenery, and woody nose. Smells bone-dry with some stoutish black malts behind, slightly sweeter. Cedar and rosemary. Dry, liquorice without the sweetness. Finish has a lot or spicy resins, cypress. Very slick, oily, filling. Rather low carbonation. Pretty cute, sorry, nice, I must admit.
