Brewery draught, 2/8/25.
Dark. Small, tan head. Didn't check clarity - assuming it was clear.
Soft cocoa and fig with long molasses and lower roast. No punchy/raw/big sugars, no booze. Moderately fruity.
Mild/mellow and well-aged and importantly, well-fermented. Not boozey, overly fruity and not alcoholic. Fruity yeast but it's not overdone, nor is the roast. Chewy malt profile with good depth. Brown sugar, molasses, light fudge and low hop. Not some shitty, heavily PNW-hopped, heavily roasted, cookie-cutter RIS of old, and also not of the new, syrupy-sweet, mega-high ABV, American style. Just a well-done classic.
That's three middle-of-nowhere NH breweries, consecutively, in one evening that all had an INCREDIBLE, non-BA RIS. What are the odds of that? About one in a million. Amazing.
