Bottle from the beershop and brewery. Cloudy brown. Aroma of rising bread dough and hay. Taste has moderate bitterness start to finish, black pepper, floral notes. Decent.

Small to medium yellow-cream head over deep-brown beer with a foxy sheen. Warm autumn leaves, faintly roasted notes - but as to hops? Again quite roasted to burnt, but with a mild bitterness that signifies hops, rather than carbonisation. Bit dim, tastewise; earthy finish. Feels well-carbonated, despite lack of visual proof. Slick, medium bodied. I find this a bit indistinctive; I’m sure American brewers would do better on the IPA side, whilst a British brewer might fare better, even with less ABV, for a bitter.

Bottle: poured a brown with light bubbly head. Aroma is very hoppy to the nose with a light malt sprinkle. Taste is sweet caramel malt and not as hoppy as the nose made it out to be. Still a nice Italian example of IPA.

Bottled@Vinoteca del Piemonte, Tampere. Hazy deep reddish amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity hops, some dark dry fruits as well as some grassy and yeasty notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Rather dryish IPA.

Bottled. Dark brown color (IPA?), short brown head. Aroma of bread, toffee, coffee, slight flowery hops. Taste is fairly bitter, slight coffee. Bit fruity, bit sweet. Strange IPA, but pretty good.

7th March 2010. Draft at Moeder Lambic and not a good start to my first time in Moeder Lambic. Hazy dark brown beer, thick creamy off white head. Very moderate carbonation. A little caramel and then some grapefruit bitterness. Finishes dry. Doesn’t hang together - too much hop bitterness without much corresponding hop flavour. General consensus on this was it was past it’s best.
