Gushing. 9/9/11/9/9/9

750ml bottle. Cloudy reddish darkest amber colour with average to huge, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Herbal hoppy aroma, backgroundish malty notes, hints of red berries, fruit parings, grass. Taste is dry, fruity, hints of red berries, fruit parings, grass - more papery than roasty dark malty notes.

Corpo sproporzionato, carbonazione eccessiva. Un vero disastro.

75cl bottle from Dranken Geers, BB 06/12/2012, Lot# 11112; holy hell of a gusher, probably lost 1/3 of the beer.

Bottle, 75 cl, at Cardinal. It pours a more or less clear body, dark amber to light brown in color and with a medium sized off-white to light beige head. Some lacings. Judging from the aroma, and the flavor, it seems to be a bit old. At least I hope that’s the problem. Caramel, a light oxidation, and piney, fruity hops on the nose. Pleasant, but not what I expect from a craft IPA. The flavor is on the malty side, lightly roasted, and with almost fluor like hops. Full body, soft carbonation. Some bitterness in the end, but not enough. That goes for the entire experience, it’s lacking on hoppyness. Hope that’s due to age. Anyway, a nice beer, not just my idea of an IPA. 120627

Bottle at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, March 2012. Deep dark copper with a small off-white head. The aroma was light with notes of hops, grass and fruit. The taste was quite pleasant. Strawberry jam, toffee, hops and some light roasted malt. Medium body and a soft carbonation.
