Ever so slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a very thin, fast-dying off-white head that leaves nothing on top or on the sides after even just a few seconds. Aroma of soured apricots, light wheats, a soft yeast quality, some apples and a bit more of a funky, lactobilly and bretty note, but that is pretty soft with the apricots the strongest, but the nose is pretty mild here throughout. Light-bodied; Strong fresh apricot and peach flavours shine through but with perhaps a tart flavour without any real sour notes and only some soft, fairly unsupportive malts that are on the mild end of the spectrum without any sweetness or deeper quality aside from the fruits and very soft malts. Aftertaste shows some more of the fruits with dried apricot notes and a light grapey quality with some dry malts and soft bread on the end without anything else of quality or pungency. Overall, a fairly mellow and understated beer, especially for the alcohol involved - I figured this was around 4,0 per cent with the taste, but the bottle indicates much more. A decent beer, but of course not the best by the brewery or in this mixed pack. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Tyson's Corner (Vienna), Virginia on 23-December-2021 for US$1,99 (part of a mixed six pack) sampled at my house here in Washington on 21-June-2022.
