07/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured orange body with small head, well, another very pale dunkel, marzen was darker. Weak sweetish caramel aroma. Caramel, burnt sugar and slight coffee flavor, pretty simple but pleasant. Medium bodied. Sweet, caramel and woody finish, didn’t last for very long. Fair dunkel, though nothing special, there are much better around.

At the brew pub 1/10/09. Slightly hazy garnet colour, with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of barley sugar, forest fruits and grassy hops. Flavour started with a sweet edge, before bready malts, a hint of chocolate and a decent, bitter finish. Enjoyable.
