On tap at Schalander Hausbrauerei, Berlin. Clear amber, small off-white head. Caramely and butter toast aroma. Bready and toasty flavour, sweet rye bread, but finishes dry. Medium body, moderately smooth, soft carbonation, light finish.

Das Dunkel vom Schalander, vom Faß auf dem RAW-Gelände, Berlin. - Schönes Kupferrotbraun, das bei schummriger Teelicht-Beleuchtung noch schöner aussieht. - Nase eher unauffällig. - Antrunk sauber gerstig dunkelmalzig mit nicht sehr starken dunklen, dafür mehr toastigen Aromen, eher Wiener als Dunkel, trotz leichter Kaffeenote. Nicht sehr bittere aber aromatische, trocken hopfenwürzige Hopfung. Sehr dezente Karamelsüße, zarte Anklänge an Säure. Gut rezent, eher schlank. Im Abgang aromatische Hopfenherbe, etwas Orangenschale. - Schlanke, ausgereifte Mischung von kernigem Toastmalz und feiner hopfenwürziger Herbe, nicht so süß wie viele Dunkle. Gefällt mir. Visited the brewpub on 12th October 2021: Three of their beers on tap, tried them all. This was the second one, listed at 5% ABV. Smooth off-white head on an almost clear amber body; looked good. Malty front to the nose and taste, decent body depth for a Dunkel. Some caramel like flavours give the beer a pleasant sweetness.

On tap at Schalander, pours a clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted bread, toasted nuts, and a hint of caramel. Dry and bready. Very nicely done.

On tap at the Brewpub in Berlin. Amber with a small head. Aroma of caramel, coffee, light hops and malt. The same in the taste. Kind of soft and easy ti drink

Dunkler, etwas röstiger und trockener Antrunk. Zum Mittelteil lassen die Aromen bereits nach, noch wenig röstig, süffig, rund - aber auch etwas langweilig. 12/9/9/9//9
