This beer is a showcase for the bright aroma of Meyer Lemons. They have a softer flavor than the common Lisbon and Eureka lemons, with a more varied orange-influenced aroma. We selected two third-use barrels with restrained acidity to avoid distracting oakiness or sharpness. The result is a sour beer that begs not to be shared... enjoy a whole bottle by yourself!

Clear bottle direct from Sapwood. Cocktail glass in my hotel room. Dull, jellied, but somewhat clear mellow yellow gold. Quick hitting soda head. Smell is green veg, honey, more lime than lemon, faint green tea. Overall it's subtle but pleasant. Taste is hard & sour lemon, significant brine, calcium, sharp, hard acid, very little but existing vinegar, overall pretty dry. Strong, cleansing sour. Wanted more obvious Meyer lemon, but glad the flavor did exist, if subtly so.
