Bottle pour at Superstition DTPHX, pours a clear dark cranberry red. Aroma is absolutely dominated by the cognac, followed by liqueur-like honey and some booze. Flavour is quite rich, with plenty of cognac, lots of tart pear, and some perfumey booziness. Light on the palate despite the perfumey booziness. Good stuff.

Amber. Ok the cognac blasts out of the aroma, and really goes well with the prickly pear. Nice acidity on the palate, the treatment allows more wood and fruit to express while still maintaining the strength of the fruit.
