On Tap at Brewforia. Hazy light golden with a fleeting white fizzy head that is gone in a flash. Light malt aroma with some pale fruit and light Belgian twang. Somewhat fruity with pears and apples and a tart slight spicy sting. Light spritsy body and an unfliterd slight chalky trailer. Very pleasant.

I’m cracking this one tonight in honor of Adam Avery’s perfect response to the sour Black Tot situation. Cheers! 22 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin white fizzy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of yeasty/bready notes, apples, grassy hops and corn. The taste is grassy hops, caramel, bread, apple, pear and other fruity notes and a floral hop finish. Medium bodied. Decent saison. 5/10/10.

Great golden blonde coloured body with a thinnish white head and a slight haziness to go with the effervescence. Aroma of light wheat, curacao, honey, slight hops and a bit of floral and barnyardie type funk - nice. Light-bodied; Assertive floral and slightly spicey notes (pepper, lemons, grass) show well at first then dim down to a light malt/wheatie flavour and a touch of strong yeast. Aftertaste is dry and pleasant - pretty floral tasting with a bit of bite - nice indeed and a very well crafted saison. I’d recommend this for summer drinking and for anyone who enjoys the style - a nice recreation! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 15-April-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 23-May-2010.

22oz bomber. Drank one year after bottled. Very pale, filtered looking yellow-orange color, with a respectable, fluffy head. Some herbal astringency in the aroma, maybe a touch of peach. Quite an interesting beer. On one hand, it captures some mellow peaches and cream taste. On the other, it manages to capture some of the alcohol-laced fruity, funky, yeast tones of a Heller Bock. Mixing those two creates an elegant beast. The spices are apparent, but never dominating. Quite a cool beer

A very good saison-like beer. Pours a lovely golden yellow with a nice, mid-sized creamy head, which dissipates rapidly. The flavor is complex, with some tart fruit--some peach and citrus--and bitter hop finish. Compares very well to other saisons I’ve experienced.

Bottle: Poured a deep golden color ale with a large pure white frothy head with good retention and some pretty good lacing. Aroma of light jasmine and peach notes with some attenuated sweet Belgian malt. Taste is quite enjoyable with good notes of jasmine scent and light sweet peach ester with some well balanced sweet Belgian malt. Body is quite full with nice bottle conditioning and great carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very well done is maybe lacking some funky notes, which I usually appreciate for the style.
