Sample at JaBier’s refrigerator reduction tasting on 08/15/09. This beer pours a clear gold-yellow color with a medium and foamy white head that burns away steadily. Thin strings of lace on the glass. Aroma of fruit and yeast plus some citrus. Light, clean body with flavors of spices, yeast and citrus fruits. The finish is bananas and lightly peppered hops that leaves a lingering spice behind. Pretty good Saison all said.

courtesy of gilard @ brasstap. Pours golden, white head. aroma and taste, fruity aromas, peach, apple, pear with smooth honey palate and hints of citrus and yeast. Flowery aspect of jasmine is mild. Easy to drink and smooth and silky for a saison with a light sour after taste.

On tap at the Brass Tap. Served up brutally cold in a tulip glass where a clear gold body and clingy bright white head with some sheet lacing could be observed. The aroma is fruity with spiced apples, some sugary malts mixing with grains and perfumy flower pedals. The flavor is smooth and refreshing with grains, spices, apples and a mild level of flower pedals. It ends dry and floral. Nice.

22 oz bottle provided by both Gregis and JB. Pour is murky hazed yellow with a smallish off white head. Aroma of big honey, floral, spice, clove, green pepper (vegetal) yeastiness, some mild peach and apricot. There is also some plastic and "port a potty" odor in there as well that detracts. A ton going on in this weird nose. Taste is more subtle and mild than the nose, grainy wheat, long clove and spice element. Big honey and mild fruit sweetness. Palate is medium, quite mouth coating. Low carbonation. Overall a pretty weird beer, though it turned around quite a bit on the taste. Thanks for opening these, Greg and John.

Bottle. Light amber beer with a whitish head. Spice and light malt aroma with some yeastiness. Orange-honey flavor with sweet malt and yeasty spice. Medium bodied. Sweet malt and orange lingers with some yeast and spice.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is fairly spicy with some fruit and yeast. Flavor is a little less than the aroma. Sorta peppery, sorta spice but nothing really stands out to put this in the excellent category. Nothing really bad about this one but i was expecting better.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden body with a large, white head. Aroma is grainy, spicy, bitter peach skins, grassy hops and a light fruitiness. Taste is grassy, jasmine, fruitiness and belgian candi sugar. Slightly tangy finish. Dryness brought out by the honey I would guess. Lively bubbles and a dry mouthfeel. All the wheat tastes of a Berliner with out the benefit of a sour finish.

On tap at flying saucer. Has a cloudy yellow golden with a medium creamy white head that leaves behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a spicy fruit with a strong clove. Medium mouthfeel with a dry malt taste with a nice dry finish. Hides the alcohol well, a good saison from Avery.

Pours a pale yellow into a tulip. Bright white head recedes at a medium pace to hug rim. Yeast and lemon aromas. Sweet peaches upfront with sweet honey in the middle. Crisp and dry with a flowery alcohol finish.
