750ml bottle. Deep copper brown colour, tan foam head leaving lacing and malty bready aroma with spices. Taste is sweetish malt, bready, barley, light roast, caramel, toffee, dried fruits, with spicy and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy nutty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

On tap at Bridge Road, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted oak upfront, with and earthiness, and rustic notes. Flavour is earthy, with lots of toasted oak, and even a touch of fruitiness. Really nice stuff. Quite authentic for the style. Very enjoyable.

750 ml bottle at Print Hall. Pours out a cola brown, darker than expected, and the aroma of pit fruits brings to mind an abbey dubbel. Thin silly beige head, fruity wine-like nose. Taste is cherries, apricots, flowers, meadow, which should improve as the beer warms. Lingering plum sweetness, bubbly effervescence leaves the mouth tingling.

Deep reddish with a white head. Dark, malty sweetness, chocolate, funky fruit notes, clove, zesty sourness. Full bodied. Interesting take. Good.

Bottle 750ml @Beer Hunters
Clear deep ruby color, small beige head. Aroma has some cellary notes, ginger, cinnamon, lots of berries (red currant). Medium-bodied. Very berryish, red currant and caramel. Feels Danish, not French!

(Bottle, 0.75 l, at Hilpeä Hauki, 20131001) The beer poured reddish brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had caramell, malts and mildly Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramell, Belgian style yeast, mildly earth and low bitterness. Afteraste was malty and bitter. Not a beer that I woudl categorise and a Bière de Garde but an easy one to drink.
