Tap@Apollo Brewpub, Copenhagen - Black pour with beige head. Sweet and charred smoked malty with some cocoa some caramel, burnt charred meaty smokey edge into the close.

Tap @ St. Clemens. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and a little smoke. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, medium sweet, little dry, little smoke and a little bitter.

@ Sct. Clemens, Aarhus. Dark brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and light smoky. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Dry finish. Lacks body. 021210

Bottle (from Herning, enjoyed same evening as it was bought). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is leather, some slight yeastyness, mildly smoked wet wood as well. Flavour is quite much the same, but the smoked notes are much stronger. A quite nicely balanced brew.

250ml draught at the brewpub. Low nitro-creamy, beige head. Deep rustic coloured body. Smoke layered malts to the nose. Moderate amount of smoked malts in flavour with hints of chocolate. Short-lived ending (Copenhagen, 14.11.2010).

Fra fat på bryggeripuben 22 Feb 10. Dyp mørk brunfarge. Pent kremskum med litt brunfarge. Litt røyk i aromaen. Samme i smaken som også har preg av lær. Greit øl - men ensformig.

On tap. Pours a clear warm reddish dark brown with a handsome dense, beige head leaving lovely curtains of lacework. Sweetish roasted malt in the nose with a whiff of butter. Medium body, dry roasted malts with a whiff of licorice. The finish is dry with some malt bitterness. 080110

Draught at Apollo. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Brown-amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy very roasted aroma. moderate bitter nice roasted flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. One of the best Apollo so far.
