Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sour, spices, caramel malts and some mild hoppyness. Flavour quite much the same. One thing is for sure, this is seriously infected. Looking at the ratings it seems like it wouldn’t have been any better during Xmas either.

Bottle, 2008. 7%. The beer looks quite nice in the glass, with a creamy off-white head sitting on top of a hazy, reddish brown body. The head is really big, and collapsing, making me fear an infection. There’s at least a starting infection in it, with a slightly sourish touch to both aroma and flavor. Some dried fruits in the aroma, almost vinous, and a puke-like touch. Lemony, milky sour flavor with some notes of caramel sweetness, and a faint note of phenol. Medium body, slightly astringent. Lemony-sour finish. Not a very good beer, still drinkable in small quantities though. Maybe saved by the ABV. Rating: 4-4-4-3-8-2.3 090520

Bottle, 2010. 5.6%. A clear, reddish brown beer with a small light beige head. Rather boring aroma and flavor, dried fruits, caramel, a roasted touch and some nuts. Medium body, nice carbonation. Short finish, roasted, nutty and with some dried fruits. Boring but acceptable. 110122

Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, and caramel - nothing cristmas over this aroma. The flavor is acidic fruity and hoppy, leading to a tart finish. Something wrong here.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear orangey brown with a rough, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Medium-bodied with some burned malts and fruit and a rather distinct acidity. Ends on an acidic note also. 010209
