50 cL bottle, courtesy of Thelonious - thanks a lot Jan for this! Pours a dark and hazy brown with a medium lived and creamy dense brown head. Aroma is mild yeasty, roasted malt, light spiced and christmassy fruity (plums, raisin, apple, orange peel and slight cherry). Smooth malt driven flavour mixed with a nice level of spices and again a rather fruity yeasty note. Dry toffee and breadish dark malty finish with a persisting and lingering christmas spiced and fruity combined flavour. Somewhat a hybrid between a dubbel and a triple. Quite enjoyable simple in composition and yet complex in elements! Reminds med a lot about Westmalle beers.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Spicy hop aroma. Quite full-bodied with notes of sweet dried fruit and a light yeastiness. Dry and hoppy finish. No heavy Tripel character but quite pleasant. 221009

Bottle at EsBF09. Mild malty aroma, seems a bit buttery. Hazy dark brown colour, red shine. Almost no head. Good sweet flavour, slightly medicinal, but in the good way. Very malty, slightly spicy, but not in the usual Christmassy, cookie-like way.

Draft. A dark chestnut brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has strong notes of spices - among them cardemomme, as well as notes of malt, caramel, herbs, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of prunes, over ripe fruits, herbs, and some spices, leading to a bitter spicy finish.
