50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Grorud. Pours black with a small beige head. Malty aroma with dark chocolate, spices, vanilla, coffee and roasty notes. Sweet and desserty, a bit too sweet for my liking, but quite pleasant. Alcohol is well integrated and it’s fairly well balanced. Full body and quite Christmassy. Nice liquid dessert! (2012-11-03)

Pours black with a large, fading dark tan head.Nose shows cocoa, milk chocolate, soft spices, coffee. Tempting.Similar cocoa and coffee flavours, along with faint Christmas spices (nutmeg? ginger? cinnamon? not sure...). Seems a bit cloying though.Carbonation is too high.

Doft av kaffe. Lite fadd smak med tydlig beska och smak av kaffe och mocca. 7p av 10 vid Julölsprovningen 2011.

[Thanks to fonefan]. Black colour with a frothy, creamy, large and smooth head, with a good lacing and medium lasting. Aroma has strong toasted malts and notes and licorice. Flavour has licorice, toast and roast malts, with light smoky hints and wood and coffee notes. The final is moderate bittery with a optimal duration. Carbonation is soft. Body is medium. Texture is oily.

Drucken med på ölföreningens julölsprovning. Kolsvart med doft av kaffesump. Smaken har också drag av lite småunket kaffe som också har drag av växtjuice. Lite syrlig, ganska rund, bra stabil kropp och som sagt mycket kaffe.

Bottle @ Ølkonsortiets christmas beertasting. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, spices. Taste is roasted malts, rich dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, spices, notes of wood. Medium body, soft carbonation, well balanced beer. 051111

Pretty average score on all criteria, so not bad not good. Very black colored beer, smell roasted and spicy. Taste sour, roasted, spicy and coffee. Also a little bit weak though. Not one I’ll remember for a long time.
