From my sake backlog. 350 ml bottle. Clear, pale straw yellow body with no head. Aroma is quite strong fruity, like something between citric and green apple, phenol, rice, yeast and smooth pleasant alcoholic. Flavor is quite strong fruity in the same direction as aroma, almost spicy yeast, rice, balanced sweet, mild acidic and warming alcohol. Very smooth and balanced between sweet and acidic with a fine warming alcoholic touch. The body feels almost a bit fat and meat’ish (umami?) Long and fruity aftertaste. Easy to like, easy to drink.

Klar lys gjennomsiltig farge som hvit vin. Ingen skum. Frisk lukt av drue og noe gjær. Frisk fruktig smak av drue med en anelse gjær i ettersmak.

Sample at SBWF 2012, Master Class with Kjetil Jikiun. Clear very light yellow, no head. Fruit and yeast, also notes of rice and some spices. Rather soft.

Shared 350 ml green screwcap bottle at local tasting, thanks to abemorsten. ABV is 19%. Nearly colourless sake, just a faint greenish-yellowish hue. No carbonation. Strong aroma of raw alcohol / bad moonshine, boiled rice and marzipan. Medium sweet flavour, marzipan, mushrooms and rice. At least it is slightly better than the aroma.

Bottle. A clear one, some yellowish color to the flat body. The aroma starts off quite alcoholic but smoothens out after a minute in the glass. Lots of fruits, mostly apple, with hints of citrus. Fruity, slightly spiced flavor with alcohol and some papery, ricey hints, lasting finish. Warming, full-bodied mouthfeel. A nice one, I find it too warming on the palate, but it’s nice and tasteful. 101126
