Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of coriander and hops as well as a lighter note of other spices I can’t name. The flavor is sweet with notes fo malt and spices, leading to a dry, spicy, and hoppy finish. Thanks joergen for sharing.

500ml bottle, brygg 918, brought back to my hotel room from Fenaknoken. Poured a golden-amber body with a slowly fading off-white head. Display of lacework on the glass. Smell of sweet malts and fruity hops. The flavour starts with rather keen notes of honey-layered hops followed by semi-sweet malts. Rather short lived bitter aftertaste, but fresh and clean in the mouth (Oslo, 18.08.2009).

500 ml bottle, brew #830, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Deep golden to brown colour, slightly hazy, with a big head. The aroma has malts, some caramel, fruit and hops, also wood, juniper and resin, a hint of spices, maybe a faint hint of smoke too. The flavour is woody and resiny with decent hops, again with a hint of smoke. Has a flair of "traditional homebrew" this one. I like it!

Bottle. (#819) A copper colored, slightly hazy beer with a small, beige head. Burnt, coffee-grit aroma with a fruityness, some caramel and a tiny note of chocolate. Nice fruity bitterness in the flavor, and also slightly burnt maltyness. Touch of sourness too. Long bitter finish. An almost astringent, burnt and dry thin mouthfeel. Didn’t suspect the burnt aromas and flavors, but they didn’t hurt at all. What I didn’t like, was the little sourness in the beer. A quite decent beer. (080708)
