This beer is not candy or mother’s milk. It is not brewed by gypsies or aliens, nor does it contain any zombie dirt. This is an American Style IPA brewed with Citra Hops. It is citrusy, sticky, hoppy and delicious. Simply drink it and enjoy it. Don’t hoard this beer, Citra Ass Down and drink it now. (Online description:) This is a very hop forward American style IPA. Brewed with Pale, Vienna, Munich and wheat malt for a solid base for all American hops, focusing mainly on the variety “Citra.” Citra hops are a relatively new variety introduced in 2008. It was bred as a hybrid of a number of different hops, including Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Golding, Bavarian, Brewers Gold, and other unknown hops. The resulting hop, Citra, has a distinct citrusy and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. In Citra ass down we used American Columbus for bittering and 11# of Citra at the end of the boil for late kettle addition flavor and aroma. Then we added 6 more pounds Citra and 5# Centennial post fermention for aroma. Rebrewed for your tasting pleasure!

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Resinous hoppy aroma with orange, pine resin, malt, grapefruit, some caramel. Flavour is bitter with a moderate sweetness. Body is medium. Thick and resinous, bittersweetish, finishes with a fairly heavy (bit boozy) flavour.

Sample flight on their brew pub Louisville downtown. Dark copper in the glass. Strong citrus aroma. Taste is more on the malty grainy side with citrus and pine. Nearly oily. Little bit scratchy in the aftertaste but also a nice pne.

Bottled. Orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized head. Aroma is mango, citrus, some caramel and mild alcohol as well. Flavour is very fruity, nectary, some floral bitteress along with a bit wooden and some sweet malts to it. Fresh and refreshing.

Backlog October 2016. Almost clear orange golden body under a light, white head. Strong citric fruity aroma with grapefruit and fresh grass, some pale malt as well. Taste is pale malt, plenty of citric fruit, pine and balanced bitterness. Feels quite refreshing with a nice balance between sweet malt and fruity hops, balanced body as well and pleasant aftertaste. A refreshing beer with decent taste, nice.

01/19/21 I think it says... Always happy to see an old school IPA but this was soapy and not appetizing. Thanks halftime. If I ever see a fresh can I'll be sure to give it another try.

16 oz. Pours slightly hazy sunshine gold with a one finger cream white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of sweet bread, wood, caramel. Taste has a light to moderate bitterness and significant caramel malt sweetness. Nice mouthfeel. Tasty malt forward IPA.

Dark orange colour with thin head. There's a decent malt flavour to this one. Hop notes have bitterness of grapefruit but also lighter tropical fruits too which adds some mellowness.

Pours yellow, slightly hazy, with a big frothy, white head. Smells fruity, citrussy, some orange, not too pulpy. Pretty soft, but a tad thin for the ABV. Flavourwise it's nicely hopped, bitter and sweet. Lovely fruity, Citra for sure.
