A clear copper pint with a malty smell. It tastes quite hoppy and has a strong toasted-type edge to it with a hint of caramel. For my taste the smokiness is a bit much once I drink more of it but it’s not bad.

500ml bottle - a clear ruby body with a thick foamy head which is lasting quite a while. A floral nose with some grass and sweetness there. The first taste is sweet, but goes into a bitter toffee-cum-caramel taste. Kinda oily and moderate carbonation, with a malty aftertaste. Not too bad, would possibly try again if I saw it.

Aroma: Plum, caramel and grassy notes. Very malty.
Appearance: Clear, dark copper coloured body with a thin, light tan head. Medium carbonation. Good lacing.
Taste: Initial sweet malt taste, before the bitter finish. More like a bitter than an IPA.
Palate: Light body with a slick, oily mouthfeel. Lively carbonation.
Overall: A decent British IPA, though not the most memorable.

Bottle in the hotel room, Aberdeen. Pours clear copper with a fizzy, white head. Modest toasty malts with hints of leaves and fruits in the aroma. Lightly sweet flavor, some slight caramel malts, leafy bitterness. Light bodied with average, tingly carbonation. Light sweet finish, mild dryness, leaves, faint berries. Rather bland overall, but it’s drinkable.
