Cask pint (as Westgate Classic Blonde) on 1st Sep 2019. Minerva Hotel, Hull being the place it was poured. Clean golden body, white crown on top. Light citric aroma and taste, yet another light coloured citrus flavoured beer that although refreshing is leaning towards bland in nature.

Cask at the 28th Ealing Beer Festival. Pours very slight hazy pale gold with a good sized creamy white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, hop, peanut, fruit and stewed veg. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. But rough this one.

Cask @ Fox, Shipley. Golden, next to no head. Extremely floral in both aroma and taste and overbearing for it.

From cask at Blackfriars, Inverness. Very pale and clear golden. Small, but persistent white head and lacing. Aroma of lime and lemon grass. Citrus in taste as well. Unbalanced and not very exciting.

(Cask at St. Urho’s Pub, 20140115) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sulphur, earth and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sulphur, earth, malts and bitterness. Afteraste was bitter. Either this one was off or the beer was just bad.

Cask at The Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a clear amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is somewhat weak, but there are some fruity notes in the background. The flavour is medium to weak bitter, with a nice zesty, hoppy palate with a hint of creamy caramel. More like a pale ale than a blonde and very drinkable.
