Cask at the Townhouse, Ely. Mid-brown, almost clear, with a crown of creamy head. The nose provides malt, walnut, wood polish and a hint of rosewater. Fruity sweet and slightly woody taste, followed by a juicy balanced finish with a suggestion of strawberry. I enjoyed it.

Half on cask. Dark brown body under a low white layer. Aroma of dark fruit. Hoppy fruitiness in flavour with a lightly malt component. Slightly bitter ending. A well built brew with medium to full palate (served in a friendly atmosphere by an attentive barmaid at The Fat Cat, Norwich 25.09.2006).
