Bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Copper, no head and moderate carbonation. Malty aroma, with a hint of chocolate. Sweetish flavour, some fruit, chocolate and an earthy edge, leading to a short, bitter finish. OK.

Cask @ GBBF 2009. Pours a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear amber color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, keller, moist soil earth, earthy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090805]

(Cask at GBBF, London Earl’s Court, 6 Aug 2009) Copper colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of gariny malt, peaches and dusty hops. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, citrus, a solid malt foundation and dusty hops in a moderately bitter finish. Light body, balanced sweetness. Well made, decent session bitter.

Cask@GBBF2009. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is honey, wood, earth and also some slight burnt sugary notes. Flavour is earth, gops, wood and some fruits. Standard bitter.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Deep amber color, small beige head. Caramel and diacetyl in the aroma. Flavor has vegetables, light caramel and grassy hops. Very watery. More or less a beer to have only once.

Cask, 3.9% at GBBF08. Hazy dark amber colour. Good roasted nut flavour. Grainy aftertaste, but with a malty and vinous touch.
