A refreshing golden beer. Buckets of English hops give this beer a spicy aroma followed by a balanced fruity taste. A subtle bitterness develops in the long finish.

Cask, Roscoe Head, Liverpool. Pale gold colour. Sweet malt predominated in the aroma and flavour which had some restrained fruit in there also. Clean and drinkable, but on the whole unremarkable.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading as Batemans 4 point 2. Amber with a dense white head; slight sweet aroma; smooth and fruity in the mouth with sweet but indistinct tropical fruit flavours, then a crisp bitter finish. Different, and very drinkable.
