ORIGINAL REVIEW Cask at Golden Eagle, Derby. Another one I’m not sure if I should review as, after pouring it, the barman took a taste, decided it was going off, and gave me a different beer free ! However, this didn’t taste too bad to me. Poured a pale orange with no head. Nose was malts and oranges. In the mouth texture was slightly sharp with falvours or oranges, apples and a hint of caramel. Finish mainly oranges. Rerate required. AND HERE IS THE RERATE Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours bitter brown with a small cream head and good lacing. Aroma has malts and yeast, but not to any great extent. Malts again in the mouth where it is slightly sweet. Later some nuts and autumn fruits plus a trace of apricot. Finish has some hints of bitterness. Not a world-beater but decent enough.

Cask - Pours a clear amber colour with an average sized off-white head that quickly settled to a thin film. Aroma is malt, caramel with some dark fruit. A moderately sweet taste, caramel and apple flavours and some boiled vegetable notes. A light bitterness but not much of a finish.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. Golden amber with a thin covering of white head; grassy malt aroma; sweet fruity malt taste; with a grassy bitterness; and a dry bisuity malt finish. A straightforward malt-led bitter.
