Earthy sweet caramel, crunchy malt, touch of yeasty apple/pear character. Good basic bitter, though billed as Irish Red.

On tap @ the Haymarket. This is somewhere between an Irish Red Ale and an English Bitter. Fruity and malty notes dominate the nose and the palate. There is reasonable balance even if there is some malt astringency on the finish. It looks attractive!

Cask at Hilden Fest 2012 - 25/08/12. Clear copper with a large white head. Basic nose of malt, grain and fruit. Taste is similar nothing really stands out a bitter fruity finish ensues. Not memorable but drinkable!

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear, dull gold with a small, white foam head. Toasty malt aroma with hints of spicy caramel. Light to medium sweet flavor, nutty, with some toast and faint gingerbread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish with some dirt and leaves providing bitterness, and light caramel sweetness. Pretty average stuff overall.

It has a dry and lingering aftertaste, although this is a bland ale at best.
