Tripel’s medium body and straw hue belie a beer of wondrous complexity. Fruity yeast character dominates throughout, while sweet malt and noble hops give way to a bit of warmth in the finish. Ever hugged a monk? This dangerously drinkable abbey-inspired ale just might have you chasing down the next one you see.

Slighlty hazy orange color, small white head. Fruity, apricot and hay aroma. Fruity, a bit grainy flavor: plums, apricot. Dry, wheaty-grainy and fruity aftertaste.

Bottled@SBWF2009. Golden colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, wood, spices, alcohol and hops. Flavour is quite much the same. Alcohol shows as rather burning in the flavour.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 19 Sep 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with citrus, tropical fruit and spicy hints of coriander. Fruity, malty taste with notes of tropical fruit, citrus and a spicy finish. Almost full body, fairly sweet. A touch of alcohol and some yeast shine through in the finish. Solid and tasty tripel.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy golden, minimal head. Fruity almondy marzipan aroma.Sweet and fruity, full bodied with light warming alcohol and plenty of marzipan. Duvelish, but sweeter and more bold and clumsy.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large whtie head. Aroma is spice, Belgian yeast and some vanilla. Flavor is lots of candi sugar with some biscuit malts, spices and a slight clove. Finish does have a decent helping of alcohol but it does not do anything to distract from the other flavors. This is a pretty decent offering of the style and some age would probably make it even better.
