Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Plovmand. Pours an almost clear amber with a dense and frothy head leaving some lacework. Intense hop aroma, a little perfumy. Medium body, some caramel, a little ashes and and some intense and perfumy hops. I believe the massive IBUs are buried under quite some caramel malts. Solid though. 221110

750 c&c from Ace in Boulder, CO. Pours copper with a foamy 3 finger beige/off-white head. The hop aroma is huge. Mostly pine/resin with a little background grapefruit. Hard to be sure. There’s a lot of hop. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor starts with pine (maybe) but certainly seems to go to grapefruit, and then some roast malt creeps in. Got to be the hoppiest barley wine I’ve ever had. It would be right at home in the PNW.

bottle @ weekly tasting. Holy gusher. golden hazy color, thin white head. aroma and flavors, hops are definitely present adding nice aromatic flavors and aromas while keeping most of the barley style elements, caramel malts with a hop profile that tends to be a little overwhelming.

Bottle Brought back from Fort Collins from my buddy Dale aka Tevis. Pours out a hazy orange/amber topped with a sandy cream head. Aroma is of citrus, grapefruit peels, sweet malts, and light caramel. Taste was more of the citrus hops and maybe even a little melon. This reminded me of Pliny a little.

Pours murky gold to copper with explosive scary off white head. The aroma is sort of American barleywine like with full hops coming from perfumy floral, spicy hops, some pine and then a bit of sticky nearly dried maltiness. The taste is pretty smooth starting with a mix of pine and floral hops and then picking up notes of sticky sweet malts and a touch of caramel. Nice stuff.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a small, off-white head with a murky, particle filled orange body. Aroma of honey and strong herbal and citrus hops. Taste is caramel, alcohol and a ton of hops. This reminds me a bit of what DR6 tasted like fresh. Creamy carbonation. Nice hoppy American Barley Wine.

Bottle at post Borefts BF 09 tasting. Sweet oranges and big dry hopped hop on aroma. Huge resiny piney hop aroma. Body is ok, but kinda needs a bit more malt. Big acidic hop on end. Not particularly well balanced. Quite hot on finish.
