October 2008 Beer of the Month Club
I'd had this before, but had never rated it until it came in the mail. (Rating is from Nov 08)
Overall Impression: Hardly noticed the fruit at all, pretty decent beer, better then I was expecting, I'm glad the fruit flavor wasn't stronger, that was pleasantly surprising.

Cloudy amber with a small head. Bitter aroma and the taste is about the same. Wheaty with a hint of fruit... absolutely nothing to write home about.

Bottle thanks to thanks to zathrus13. Pours with a fizzy off-white head. Hazy amber tinged golden body. Aroma of hay, sweat (yes sweat), metal, cardboard and light fruits. Taste is wheaty and fruit with notes of pink lemonade and pomegranate. FIzzy and dry.

12 oz. bottle. Very hazy brownish orange pour with a medium quickly dissappearing head. Aroma of wheat with the faintest hint of pomegranate. The pom comes through stronger in the taste with yeast, citrus and cotton candy notes. Medium body.

12oz bottle. Cloudy golden-orange color with a nice frothy head. Smooth, light malty backbone with some decent wheat character as well. The pomegranate taste is a little unpronounced, but I think that makes it a little more enjoyable than an artificial tasting sugary sweet beer. All in all, a fairly respectable beer, worth a try if you are into fruit beers.

Cloudy beige. The aroma is quite yeasty (dusty) with light pomegranate character. Light pomegranate taste in a sweet and simple presentation. Overly yeasty beer however, with muddled yeast character that does not complement the fruit. I could almost like this, but too much yeast character.

12 oz bottle. This beer pours a orange color, with a white head. This beer’s aroma is pretty bland, with hints of pomegranate, but that’s about it. Flavor is better than the aroma, but forgettable - like many Matt brewing beers. Not bad for an amateur - so if a friend of yours doesn’t drink a lot of beer - this may be good.
