The citrus punch of a big IPA, minus the one-dimensional hop sledgehammer. Select specialty malts round out the edges for a complex, copper-colored brew.

On tap. An unclear, pale amber beer with a small, off-white head. Quite malty aroma, bread and some caramel, but not enough to subdue the hops. Pine cones and citrus peel. The same goes for the flavor, where thereโs of course also some bitterness. Full to medium body, with pleasant carbonation. Mostly bitter finish. Sure drinkable and quite tasteful, but in my opinion itโs too malty. 130630

From notes. Draft. Lots of citrus and caramel balance very well. A slight hint of something else too, maybe fresh peaches. Very drinkable, very good.

Draft - Sweet malts and citrus hops. Clear copper with medium rich white head. Earthy hops, resin, malts and a clean finish. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Deep golden body with a fizzy, off-white head. Floral aroma along with toasted grain, grapefruit, sweetbread, dough, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture turning velvety in the finish, lively carbonation. Floral taste along with sweet grapefruit juice. Bready malt backbone. Combination worked for me. Easy drinking because the bitterness, though moderate in the finish, doesnโt scrape the tongue for very long.

Light haze on this deep amber beer. Semi crisp palate, a little dry. Bitter hops strike immediately and they have a metallic tang. Orange marmalade buried under the bitterness. Things pick up a little at the finish with some creamy malt presenting but it has a lingering bitter metallic aftertaste. Hard work - over and oddly bitter.
