1L swing top bottle from the brewery. Nearly clear golden, lasting white head. Malty, bready aroma. Sweet, malty flavour. Doughy with light hoppy bitterness and a little herbal spice in the finish. Too sweet but still quite quaffable. Nice to have this one in a man-sized bottle.

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly cloudy straw colored. Aroma is slightly dry grainy, hay, dried grain, paper, weeds, minerals, bark, light malts. Taste is slightly dry grainy, weeds, hay, dried grain, paper, minerals, bark, medicine. Medium to longlasting bitterness, watery and harsh medical mouthfeel. Meh!

On tap at the brewpub. Leicht trübes goldgelbes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch getreidig, frisch malzig, hopfig. Geschmack getreidig malzig, grasig bitter.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops, with a note of malt. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with rough & sweetish estery notes and touches of malt. Bitter and slightly paperlike finish. OK but more like a Zwickel than a Helles. (The bottled version is clearly a Helles, in terms of both appearance and taste.)

Draught. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Some grassy notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Crisp and clean. Oily palate.

Draught @ Husums Brauhaus, Neustadt 60-68, 25813 Husum, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.Unclear medium yellow color with a small to average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, straw, grain, light hoppy, citrus, light butter notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091023]
