Bottled. A slightly hazy golden beer with a huge off white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and some minerals. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, hay, and some minerals, leading to a dry finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a little white head. Light malty and slight fruity. Fruity flavour and light acidic. Mild malt base with no real sweetness. Light acidic and bitter into the finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Served almost clear, with an orange-golden color and a white head. The flavor is almost weiss-like in the start, at least there’s banana and wheat there, but it’s more subdued after a while. Fruity start on the flavor, with banana and citrus, pale malt and bitterness coming shortly after. Medium, effervescent mouthfeel and a fruity finish. Quite pleasant and refreshing in the heat. Draught. Nicely refreshing, citric, creamy aroma. Cloudy yellow colour, small white head. The flavour is mild and malty, and the bitterness low. A typical German brewpub Helles.

Draught at the Brauhaus / brewpub’s tent at Husumer Hafentage. Was called a "Helles" there, also in the printed Brauhaus "newspaper" which served as a menu. No "Pilsner" mentioned there. While the brewpub’s website, on the other hand, makes no mention of a Helles other than the Pilsner, and the ABV is exactly the same (varies between 5.0 and 5.2%), I presume they are identical. Served ice cold in a plastic glass. Honey coloured, slightly hazy, low head. A helles with a fairly decent balance between hops and malts, but nothing exceptional going on here.
